As the Executive Director of the Green Software Foundation , I take immense pride in steering this consortium of over 60 member organizations, which I co-founded in 2020 and now passionately lead.

I'm fortunate to have been able to focus on just one question for many years now, "How can we build software so it has zero harmful environmental effects?". That's how I'd describe green software more broadly. I helped define the field of green software. I've seen the field grow, know its history, drive its current direction, and have an excellent insight into its future.

Previously I led the Office of Green Software at Intel, EMEA Lead for Cloud Advocacy at Microsoft and freelanced for various companies including Google. I was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan investment banks. I have worked at several startups, and failed several more of my own. I started my career at the European Space Agency in their mission control center in Germany, launching rockets.
