Happy Friday friends and listeners! We did it! Another week in the books! And as a reward, every band released a kick ass single this morning! Ok, not every band, but a lot of great bands dropped singles today including Narcissus’ first new song in nearly 20 years, a new jam from Spiritbox, Beartooth, Imminence, and more! Plus earlier in the week we got new songs from Helmet, Mouth For War, and more! So I put together a playlist of my favorite tracks from the past week (and the new Erra track!). Chapter 416 - "This Is What We Like" ...as read by Blake Bedsaul of Saul

Today we welcome Blake Bedsaul, frontman for hard rock band Saul to the podcast! Saul’s sophomore album, This Is It… The End Of Everything, came out back on July 28th via Spinefarm Records. Blake talks about leaving sports behind to pursue music, how the band ended up on SiriusXM Radio, releasing an album during lockdowns, finding an audience, and more! 

I listened to This Is It before reaching out to chat with Blake. There’s a very interesting dynamic of hands being inspired by radio rock bands and bands in the metalcore scene. And in talking with Blake, hearing that Saul is touring with radio rock bands AND bands in the metalcore scene, and doing well, was great to hear. Maybe metal fans are losing up? Maybe?
