Short video,
studio quality.
Your iPhone is the camera, and it records in full quality on the phone, so your video looks better than Continuity Camera. You set up the whole shot from your Mac.

Every source, one recorder.
Capture your screen, camera, microphone, and system audio into a single composed frame. Arrange the shot once, then record start to finish.

Shot on the iPhone you already own.
The iPhone records locally at full resolution, so quality never drops to a live video stream. When you stop, it hands the file off to your Mac automatically.
- Records locally at full resolution
- Framed and controlled from your Mac
- Transfers to your Mac automatically
Two ways to record.
Sharper than Continuity Camera. Simpler than a subscription.
The iPhone records your video at full quality, not a live stream, and you keep every raw file. No monthly fee for any of it.

The Mac app is free. One payment of $39 unlocks the iPhone camera, 4K, and 60 fps export. Pay once, with no subscription ever.
Requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later. The iPhone camera needs iOS 18 or later.
Recording in three steps.
Questions, answered.
Why not just use Continuity Camera?
Continuity Camera sends a live video stream to your Mac, so the quality drops and depends on your connection. BlitzRecorder records on the iPhone at full quality and sends the finished file to your Mac when you stop, so your video looks sharper. You also get scenes, layouts, and screen capture in the same app.
What does the paid license include?
A $39 beta lifetime license, planned to become $79 after launch. It unlocks the iPhone camera, 4K export, and 60 fps export in the Mac app. You get free updates through v1, and the app stays yours forever.
What does the free app do?
Record your screen, Mac camera, and mic with scenes, layouts, and backgrounds, and export in 1080p. There is no account, card, watermark, or subscription requirement.
Do I need an account?
No app account is required. Checkout is handled by Stripe, then you claim a license key for the Mac app.
What if it does not work for me?
Every license comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If BlitzRecorder is not right for you, email [email protected] within 30 days and we will refund you, no questions asked.
Does it run on Intel Macs?
Yes. It is a universal build for Apple silicon and Intel, on macOS 15 Sequoia or later.
Do I have to plug in my iPhone?
No. The iPhone pairs with your Mac over your local network. It needs iOS 18 or later.
Is my footage private?
Yes. Recording happens on your own devices and saves to a folder you choose. The native apps do not include an analytics SDK, and recordings are not uploaded.
Where do I get the apps?
Download the Mac app from blitzrecorder.com. The iPhone app is the companion camera and needs the Mac app to do useful recording work.

The studio camera is already in your pocket.
Pay once for the iPhone camera, 4K export, and 60 fps.
