The problem is what civ and Period names should be displayed in the options UI (eg for the birth, stability and period maps)?
There are 3 possible sources:
The TXT_KEYs namly DESC and SHORT_DESC, but some of these are missing or not matching names used elsewhere (for example the DESC key for...
Right now a lot of information is displayed only with the where, for example the civ areas. The resource markers carry the information of when in years, but there is no way of showing them by time.
So here's an idea:
A Atlas/Map mode, where you can choose a civ, a gamespeed and point in time (for...
After the last few updates i want to do a short recap and give an outlook on the near future.
I added some features like the tooltip/contextmenu, the scenario culture overlays and the created the year to turn calculator.
The visual of the geography maps got improved and i added a few options...
I created an online year to turn calculator. It takes a start year, a game speed and several years to calculate the number of turns needed to reach these years. Should be helpful when using my atlas or just in general. @Tigranes :)
Its up at...
I have a question regarding years, gameturns and uhv goals:
For a given gamespeed not all Years can be converted exactly to a integer number of turns (For example 1815 on normal. It resolves to 427.5 turns).
What happens when a uhv is to get something in 1815?
Does this mean you need to reach...
yeah a shorter name is also possible. I thought of RFCDawn.net
But i dont have any problem with dawnofciv.com
Am i correct to assume that the domain dawnofciv.com is already bought?
Since its possible to host on github pages using your own custom domain,
I envisioned this url as a landing page...
I tested both these changes and they are possible in principle. But they come with a caveat.
Let me first explain how the map tiles and the zoom works:
There are 5 (integer) zoom levels defined. For each zoom level i have generated a tile map, that is shown when on the respective zoom level...
@All How do you do AI autoplay? I saw one can set a toggle in the CivilizationIV.ini and specify a max turns there. But i also saw that one can use ctrl + shift + X while in game and then enter a number of turns to be played, which would be more convenient.
new update:
- added tooltip/contextmenu/idontknowwhattocallit in the bottom left corner (note: this does not takes info from the earth.txt but from all the csv files)
- added a city planner, that allows placing an outline of the second ring. All placed "cities" can be hidden with the hide plan...
No, i don't think so. I am not able to call game specific python functions at all.
Also i dont like, that the user would need to specify the civ they want to see the names for someway. I could add this as another mapmode, but i kinda dont like it.
