Support Multiple Panels with Projected Embeddings and Panel Detachment #3

Description

@andandandand

Problem

Currently, HyperView displays projected embeddings within a singular panel. For complex workflows and comparative analysis, it would be beneficial to support multiple panels, each displaying different (or related) projected embedding visualizations.

Proposed Feature

  • Allow opening several panels, each capable of showing a projected embedding.
  • Panels should be independently configurable (projection type, data selection, coloring, etc.).
  • Provide an option to detach a panel into a separate window for multi-monitor setups or enhanced workspace flexibility.
  • Ensure synchronization, as needed, between linked panels (such as for selection, brushing, or comparative actions).

Use Cases

  • Compare different projection configurations side by side.
  • Monitor embeddings from different data sources or training runs simultaneously.
  • Dragging/detaching panels to external windows for immersive workflows.

Additional Notes

  • Window detachment might require platform-specific APIs or Electron support.
  • Please discuss user experience aspects, such as how panel creation, arrangement, and detachment will work, and how it fits with the current UI paradigm.
