Basically I'd like to recreate the experience of MATLAB's figure when I display an image.
Namely view the image in 1:1 scaling (No interpolation is made) and when I hove on a pixel I can see its value.

Ah you mean something completely different than I thought. Try setting interpolate = false and using DataInspector

I meant 1:1 so it means no interpolation is needed anyway.
What difference is it from what you thought?

Can you give an example of what you want in Matlab code?

The output, just to show the Data Inspector:

You may see the value of mI(21, 9) matches the image.
This is my goal, so the mapping of the value of each pixel in 1:1 matches exactly the array value of the image.
