In a recent use I wanted to know three statistics:

• How many nodes were matched by a criterion
• How many weren't matched by the criterion
• How many weren't matched by any criterion

I was colouring nodes and, in particular, wanted to know if any nodes remained uncoloured - at a certain level in the hierarchy.
