Below is the summarized feedback the NativeScript Plugins team received during NativeScript Air ep.5. Feel free to contribute! We πŸ’š PRs!

πŸ”΄ Add more detailed instructions how to generate typings for 3rd party native libraries in the README of the seed
🌟 Provide demo-ng by default (or better - provide schematics about it, it's a good candidate. we aim for simple seed that serves plugin generic needs)
⬛️ Add debug configuration in the seed
🚩 Amend the mocha tests in typescript instead of javascript
⚫️ If possible, add some badges by default in the README i.e. travis, npm, downloads . See Firebase plugin for example
πŸ”΅ If possible, simplify the issue template

Thank you @EddyVerbruggen, @shiv19, @davecoffin for your feedback!

Just a TODO list here as I hope to contribute here:

  • Add more detailed instructions how to generate typings for 3rd party native libraries in the README of the seed
  • Provide demo-ng by default (or better - provide schematics about it, it's a good candidate. we aim for simple seed that serves plugin generic needs)
  • Add debug configuration in the seed
  • Amend the mocha tests in typescript instead of javascript
  • If possible, add some badges by default in the README i.e. travis, npm, downloads . See Firebase plugin for example
  • If possible, simplify the issue template

Another thing I now saw in the video is the suggestion to add a "create plugin" button in Sidekick- would be very helpful to have a template for UI plugins for example, perhaps maybe add that as an option in the postclone script
