Description
When you add a gradient with two transparent colors, they start to behave weirdly, even if the blend mode is set to "Normal".

If I use the color picker in a weird area and paint the whole layer to that color (with transparency), the layer starts to behave normally again.

To Reproduce

1. Open a blank file
2. Paint the background layer red.
3. Add a new layer.
4. Create a gradient with a 100% transparent green and a 15% transparent blue.
