Thank you Sydney! I hadn't realized that while a "system" 7.4 RE wasn't automatically created in my existing Automation account, I can create a 7.4-based environment manually.

I asked it in the November 2024 call too, still no public info about the availability of 7.4 in Automation Account I gather?

I won't attempt to speak to documentation, but I was able to create a 7.4 Runtime Environment yesterday in one of my Commercial tenant subscriptions. I haven't published a runbook using it quite yet.

I've used it in prod since I learned about it in November, no issues. Can't be GA yet though, if it's not announced? Don't think runtime environments is GA either.

While good progress to have a path where new deployments on Azure Automation don't fail by default, the success criteria will be having a path with no dependencies on deprecated or pre-GA releases.
