An animated GIF has frame timings, but StreamController seems to ignore these

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Add an animated GIF as button image
2. Watch it glitch like crazy

Expected behavior
Nice, controlled animation, honouring the GIF frame timings
