Having looked into Allmaps identifiers I assume the the image value is the first 16 chars of a SHA-1 encoded identifier? The input does however not seem to be the image or the canvas URI?

Let's take this IIIF Manifest as an example:

• https://amsterdamtimemachine.github.io/berckenrode-iiif/manifest.json

The first 16 characters of the SHA-1 hash of "https://amsterdamtimemachine.github.io/berckenrode-iiif/manifest.json"is f068318457a7df6a. You can use the Allmaps CLI to compute this:

allmaps id https://amsterdamtimemachine.github.io/berckenrode-iiif/manifest.json

Now you can derive the Georeference Annotation URL for this manifest:

• https://annotations.allmaps.org/manifests/f068318457a7df6a

You can do the same for IIIF Canvases:

• https://amsterdamtimemachine.github.io/berckenrode-iiif/manifest.json/canvas/0
• https://annotations.allmaps.org/canvases/d118eddacb6e2c2f

And IIIF Images:

• https://amsterdamtimemachine.github.io/berckenrode-iiif/KZL_W_X_020 (without /info.json)
• https://annotations.allmaps.org/images/899328143b23dc0a

I'll update the Allmaps homepage soon, then I'll finally add a documentation section that will explain all this.

Allmaps currently only supports Canvases with a single image (Allmaps always uses the first image if a canvas contains more images) and Allmaps always uses the first image service (if, for example, two versions of the IIIF Image API are supported like in your riksarkivet.se manifest, only the first one is used)

Thank you Bert! I got it to work having realized that in my case the only URI that matters is that of the first service node for any given canvas annotation.
