I have made some changes since my original pull request. The code is now ready to merge if required. |

I have updated the maven compiler plugin to use java 6 (the aws-java-sdk library has moved to java 6 a while ago), so the annotations won't be a problem now.. Thanks for the pull-request. |

The current release doesn't work with eu-central-1 region so an update to the java-sdk is required. This requires an update to the shade plugin configuration (also fixing an issue where aws code wasn't included).
