Biometric unlock button always grayed out in browser extension since 2026.8.0 (works on desktop) #23168

Steps To Reproduce

1. Install Bitwarden browser extension (version 2026.8.0 or later) and Bitwarden desktop app
2. Ensure biometric unlock is enabled in both the desktop app and the browser extension settings
3. Verify that the desktop app can successfully unlock using biometrics
4. Lock the browser extension vault
5. Click on the extension to open the unlock screen
6. Observe the "Unlock with biometrics" button

Expected Result

The "Unlock with biometrics" button should be active/enabled, allowing the user to unlock the browser extension vault using biometric authentication (e.g., Windows Hello).

Actual Result

The "Unlock with biometrics" button is consistently grayed out and unclickable. The user is forced to enter their master password every time they need to unlock the browser extension, even though:

• The desktop app has biometric unlock fully working
• The browser extension setting "Unlock with biometrics" is enabled
• Browser integration is enabled
• This was working in previous versions before 2026.8.0

Additional Context

• Desktop app: biometric unlock works perfectly
• Browser extension: biometric toggle is ON in settings, but button is always gray when trying to unlock
• This is a regression — it worked in earlier versions (before 2026.8.0)
• The issue occurs every time the extension locks and needs to be unlocked
• All browsers are Chromium-based (tested on Chrome / Edge)
