Problem Description

Coder uses environment variables or specific processes to track JetBrains Gateway and VSCode connections (#10968). We need similar tracking for Zed IDE to provide admins with usage insights.

Implementation Requirements

  • Identify Zed-specific connection indicators.
  • Integrate detection into existing session tracking.
