Right now we have various colors used to highlight selections and other items.

While we are waiting for our new branding palette, it would be nice to have the colors consistent so the selection indications are predictable for our community.

  • user roles in user admin are purple
    This looks good!
  • selected side-nav items in User Menu --> Preferences are blue
    Can we make these purple like the user role indicators?
  • selected tab in top nav is indicated with orange
    Can we make this purple like the user role indicators?

@misskniss @BrunoQuaresma I have the updated screenshots in the linked PR. Can you help and confirm if those are the intended changes for this issue? I was also wondering if there were any other places the new purple could be used.
