We are assuming that the users will not want to watch the screen when the Tasks are being run. They will likely depend on the Tasks Notifications (added in 2.27).

We want to make sure users are aware in case the Tasks Notifications are not active and that consequently they might miss a moment when the task became idle.

Recommendation: add a small text box somewhere on the screen (see a poor-man's mock-up below) which would inform the user that their settings prevent the notifications from being sent.
