Managing issues in Teams

With the {% data variables.product.github %} integration in Microsoft Teams, you can comment on, close, and reopen issues directly from Teams. You must be signed in to {% data variables.product.github %} in Teams and have the necessary permissions to manage issues in the relevant repository.

  1. In Teams, under the preview of the issue you want to manage, select the appropriate action:

    • To comment on the issue, click Comment. In the dialog, type your comment and click Post.
    • To close the issue, click Close issue. In the dialog, confirm that you want to close the issue by clicking Close issue again.
    • To reopen a closed issue, click Reopen issue.

Managing pull requests in Teams

You can also comment on pull requests directly from Teams.

  1. In Teams, under the preview of the pull request you want to manage, click Comment.
  2. In the dialog, type your comment and click Post.

Note

You must be signed into {% data variables.product.github %} to perform these actions from Teams. If you are not signed in and try to perform an action, you will receive a notification to sign in first.
