The Media Player and its Jamendo Music Library is outstanding.

Many "radio stations" (not radio anymore) like Radio Swiss Classic and various of music communities have decided to use Icecast servers using OGG instead of SHOUTcast client servers using the MP3 format. OGG audio streams can be played smoothly with web browsers such as Firefox.

• Adding different Icecast streaming directories in addition to the current Jamendo music directory.
• Adding an ability to "Play from URL"
• Adding a new argument s= or st= (more details below)

1. The stream was found at dir.xiph.org.
2. The chat room address above is fabricated. I have changed an IRC address to fit to the XMPP MUC format accordingly.
   • On the other hand, you should be able use an IRC transport to connect to it xmpp:lounge%[email protected]?join.
3. Shame on most of the web radio websites in the Xiph streaming directory for not using OGG.
4. Maybe I need to stop to listen to Classic and Jazz music and to switch to Rock as they do use free software.

Who might be interested?
I think that radio show hosts who use chat rooms would be interested in such feature for their web chat room
Example: Pirate Party Radio (rantmedia.ca) who are currently using their own channel at Freenode. Note: I will not write it down, there is an XMPP chat room of a Pirate Party website which has over 200 participants, so I think XMPP would be attractive in the future to Rant Media as well.
