the setting you're suggesting already exists. It's called "Bookmark Click Action" |

@MohamedBassem there is one issue though - the click to open action is not working for notes, is that expected? |

For example, here is a text note that I created directly on Karakeep. When
I click on on the bookmark nothing happens, however, for other type of
bookmarks clicking on the bookmark opens the bookmark. Does that make
sense? If not, I'll try to record a quick video and send your way.

Currently, clicking anywhere on a tile in the main grid takes you out of Karakeep and opens the original source link. To view the content natively within Karakeep, you have to click the very specific, smaller "expand" icon on the card.
The Problem:
This creates a bit of UX friction. When browsing a personal library, the primary intent is usually to view the saved content inside the library first, rather than immediately navigating away to the external web page.
Proposed Solution:
It would be a smoother experience if clicking the main body of the tile expanded the card natively (similar to how MyMind behaves). The external link could then be accessed from within the expanded view, or via a specific "external link" icon on the main tile.
Alternatively, if some users prefer the current behavior, adding a toggle in the Settings to choose the "Default Tile Click Action" (Expand vs. Open Original Link) would be a great compromise!
