Should be doable. Also a good starting point for new developers. |
Same problem with i3wm. Unable to hide ksnip's window. |
@amitbha what do you mean with "unable to hide"? Ksnip shows up after screenshot was taken? Or some other behavior? |
When taking screenshot with hotkey or mouse click, the window pop out first, then the selection tool shows.
|
This is now implemented in latest 1.8.0. The Features is by default disabled and can be enabled via settings (ImageGrabber) |
When uncheck Image Grabber - Show Main Window after capturing screenshot, after capturing by shortcut main window still shows. |
I have quite the same issue as @amitbha. I'm using Manjaro Linux 21.1.2 Pahvo. and using i3 as windows manager. Below is the screenshot result: At the time screenshot was taken there is only one windows which is my terminal. |
When take-saving a screenshot using a hotkey, ksnip automatically opens itself, regardless of being minimized to tray or taskbar. There could be an option to keep ksnip hidden, just like Windows native service works, with flag + printscreen.
