Description
Description of the bug or feature
Hi all,
When running ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS on my surface pro 7 I encounter very slow graphics performance, such as:
- very low graphics speed when scrolling through documents or websites
- slow graphics loading time & low gnome response
Sometimes the matter disappears after reboot (and it remains stable for quite a long period), but in 80% of reboot cases the performance is slow.
- CPU load does not seem to be the case: CPU use seems low (<15% each core).
I tried unsuccessfully:
- installing the latest MESA drivers: https://itsfoss.com/install-mesa-ubuntu/
- changing swap file size (currently 4 GB)
- running xorg instead of wayland. Also with this setting: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1041743/any-way-to-speed-up-intel-integrated-graphics-on-18-04
So far I am unable to resolve the issue. Does anyone encounter the same issue? Or do you have any tips?
Thank you in advance for the help.
