What Happened?

I tried installing Logseq three ways on my Kubuntu 25.10 and none of them start up. Only the Flatpak on v0.10.14 worked while the 0.10.15 AppImage and Snap package didn't.

Reproduce the Bug

  1. AppImage
  • I downloaded the Appimage from logseq.com/downloads and installed it through AppimageLauncher (which i didn't know about, so thanks for the discovery!)
  • Running it from the application launcher gives nothing
  • Running from terminal:
▶ /home/lauloque/Applications/Logseq-linux-x64-0.10.15_f54d86c27de7fed1e8c93b65d7fcf7a4.AppImage

Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /tmp/.mount_LogseqcXFX2X/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755.

  1. Snap package
  • Downloaded the snap package 0.10.15 from Discover.
  • Running it from the application launcher gives nothing
  • Running from terminal:

  1. Flatpak
  • Downloaded the snap package 0.10.14 from Discover.
  • Running it from the application launcher works
  • Running from terminal:

Expected Behavior

I would hope that all packages work, especially the newer ones.

Additional Context

I did see a few other bug reports about Logseq not starting, but either old or on windows... Or lacked details. IDK if you prefer each "case" to be separated or not. Sorry if you'd prefer to regroup them in one ticket.

Are you willing to submit a PR? If you know how to fix the bug.

  • I'm willing to submit a PR (Thank you!)
