There is no replacement for forge-topic-list-columns. Our list modes no longer derived from tabulated-list-mode and there are no columns that could be customized.

I see. I had before a column view with issue numbers, another with labels and then topic titles (which I sorted by giving semantic to labels). I see now that forge--insert-topic does not allow such re-ordering of fields, but I guess I can advise it.

You can list labels to be included. I don't remember that it was possible to exclude certain labels in the past; but maybe I misremember.

The key function seems to be forge--list-topics-2 which doesn't seem amenable to such filtering. Is that something that would be of interest to include in forge?

As you have noticed, I have undertaken major refactorings over the last year or two. The goal is to pay off technical dept. I did drop some functionality in the process, which had a disproportionate effect on complexity (on the existing code and/or future changes/additions) compared to their "usefulness" (e.g., how many users would actually use it / can we work around the absence of the feature / does the cost of implementing/maintaining the feature prevent us/me from implementing other features, which I consider more useful).

Negative filtering didn't make the cut. It would be useful, but there are other more useful things missing. Implementing it now, would mean carrying it over across refactorings, until we arrive at a "final" implementation. Adding this feature now would increase the cost at every step, it might even prevent certain steps.

I consider filtering as it currently exists to be "good enough for the time being". My focus is on other areas, which I consider to be in a much more dire state, and it will remain there for the foreseeable future (e.g., the non-existent support for Codeberg and CI).
