Brief description of your issue
We package our application as MSIX on windows, whenever user tries to install the application through this MSIX package file it fails with error: Error in parsing the app package.
We have narrowed down the issue to the packagedServices capability:
<rescap:Capability Name="packagedServices" />
When removing that capability the MSIX installs successfully, however the application then obviously lacks the necessary Windows service.
The issue appears with Windows Package Manager v1.12.340 and later. On earlier versions everything works as expected
Steps to reproduce
Download the package
Try to install it
Press Restart as administrator
It fails with Error in parsing the app package
Expected behavior
Application is expected to be installed
Actual behavior
Installation fails
