The current MCP specification lacks built-in support for event subscription and publishing mechanisms. Adding support for events in MCP would facilitate the development of real-time, event-driven AI applications.

MCP servers should be able to generate and subscribe to external events, which can then be sent to connected MCP clients.

I am currently implementing event subscriptions in a standard backend. My goal is to create a customized MCP server wrapper to enable easy integration with AI-based applications.
