We're excited to announce that organization owners can now disable commit comments across all repositories from a single organization-level setting.

Why are we releasing this?
Managing repository settings at scale is one of the most time-consuming tasks for organization owners. A few weeks ago, we introduced the ability to disable commit comments on individual repositories. However, updating each repository individual is a tedious process for organizations with tens or hundreds of repositories.

This release brings commit comment controls to the organization level. With a single toggle in your organization's settings, you can disable commit comments across every repository in your organization, reducing the amount of manual, repetitive configuration needed.

To disable commit comments for your organization:

1. Navigate to your organization's Settings.
2. Under "Repository", go to "Settings" and find the "Commit comments" section.
3. Toggle to Disabled by default.
