I just found out that the original filename does not seem to have been stored, or it isn't visible in the UI. Only under metadata does it contain the newly assigned "Media filename". I think the original filename should be stored and archived and be searchable. In fact if possible and when a whole directory is drag and dropped on to the browser the full directory structure should probably be preserved and archived. |

Well it is stored. From the demo site just now, βoriginal filenameβ: ![]() |

It isn't for me. Is there a situation where it isn't stored? Such as drag and drop via browser (Brave Browser)? ![]() |

Ok, I inspected the database using the SQLite viewer plugin in VSCode.
I'm not sure what table to expect this data in but I found the original names listed in table Table |

Sorry for wasting your time. I totally missed the deprecation notice of that Docker image. I need to now apparently migrate to https://github.com/paperless-ngx/paperless-ngx. For future reference: https://docs.paperless-ngx.com/setup/#migrating-from-linuxserverio-docker-image. My mistake.
Update: Migration succeeded. Paperless-ngx just became even more awesome.
