[Bug]: Icons not visible in Light Mode (pyRevit 6.4.0.26100 with Revit 2027) #3361

Description

@imtiaz2025

✈ Pre-Flight checks

  • I don't have SentinelOne antivirus installed (see above for the solution)
  • I have searched in the issues (open and closed) but couldn't find a similar issue
  • I have searched in the pyRevit Forum for similar issues
  • I already followed the installation troubleshooting guide thoroughly
  • I am using the latest pyRevit Version

🐞 Describe the bug

I have installed pyRevit 6.4.0.26100 for Revit 2027. The extension works well in Dark Mode—icons display correctly in gray/white. However, when I switch back to Light Mode, the icons remain gray/white, which makes them almost invisible against the light background.

Steps to Reproduce:

Image
  1. Install pyRevit 6.4.0.26100 on Revit 2027.
  2. Launch Revit in Dark Mode → icons appear correctly.
  3. Switch Revit to Light Mode → icons remain gray/white.

Expected Behavior:
Icons should adapt to Light Mode and display in darker colors for visibility.

Actual Behavior:
Icons stay gray/white, making them hard to see in Light Mode.

System Info:

  • Revit Version: 2027
  • pyRevit Version: 6.4.0.26100
  • OS: Windows 11
