I've been controlling my switches and plugs via port 9999. Seems the new firmware uses port 80 and some new security (klap)? Tp-Link support says "Can only be controlled by the Kass App on your phone". Please help. Thanks. |

This should already be working with the latest library version. Are you getting some kind of error? |

Went to TP-Link Cloud website and reset my username/password (no caps). In .bashrc - export KASA_USERNAME=[myemail] & KASA_PASS.... Also tried "kasa --username '[myemail]' etc same results (tried my tp-link router user/pass - no joy) /usr/local/bin/kasa --debug --host sg130 discover Everything I try with --debug keeps saying DEBUG:kasa.klaptransport:Server response doesn't match our challenge on ip sg130 |

SOLVED: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1439/ When I first installed Kasa on my phone it required a email and password - man I don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday - anyhow went to .../1439 and "That email is already in use." Oh OH? OK reset password. kass --host devIP --username.... wall'ah let there be light. |
