What is the problem you are having with rclone?
There was an in-depth discussion/debugging session on the rclone forums over the last 2 months (see link above), in that when using rclone mount, I could simply not reach 1 GiB/s speeds, unlike when using rclone copy. All other potential bottlenecks (network, drive) seem account for.
Since that discussions was closed due to inactivity, I thought it might be appropriate to open this as an issue, so that it can be looked at long term - hope that's okay with you guys =)
I would still, ultimately, love to be able to get this to work.
Please do see the forum post for details - there was a lot of performance profiling and different command attempts at getting it to work.
What is your rclone version (output from rclone version)
rclone v1.71.2
- os/version: endeavouros (64 bit)
- os/kernel: 6.12.55-1-lts (x86_64)
- os/type: linux
- os/arch: amd64
- go/version: go1.25.3 X:nodwarf5
- go/linking: dynamic
- go/tags: none
Which OS you are using and how many bits (e.g. Windows 7, 64 bit)
Server: Debian Trixie
Host: Endeavour OS (arch-based)
Both x64
Which cloud storage system are you using? (e.g. Google Drive)
webdav over lan
The command you were trying to run (e.g. rclone copy /tmp remote:tmp)
Ultimately, rclone mount.
rclone mount2 --no-check-certificate --vfs-cache-mode off --vfs-read-chunk-streams 4 --vfs-read-chunk-size 8M -v gremy-copyparty-local: /mnt/user/copyparty
See the forum post for many many attempts with varying flags and details.
