Our group is building healthcare AI systems that are reliable, equitable, and expert reasoning agents. We strive for methodological advancements and rigorous evaluations in multimodal deep learning, probabilistic reasoning, observational causal inference, and reinforcement learning. We publish in machine learning more broadly, and at the intersection of machine learning and health and medicine. Our current health application focus is in clinical psychiatry (specifically schizophrenia), cardiology (structural heart disease detection), neurocritical ICU care, and radiology.
