Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (ended mid 2015) and Debian 6 LTS (ended feb 2016) are no longer supported. We should upgrade our minimum Python requirement to 2.7.3 and cascading requirements to numpy and scipy versions (I've not researched this yet).
