Custom properties that need to be sent to HelpScout must be sent in a 'properties' object inside the Identify call. There is a separate endpoint for this object that Segment does not currently support. There is an open feature request for this, but with no timeline for feature requests, it would be beneficial to note that sending custom properties is not supported by Segment at this time.

This will prevent confusion for customers when custom properties do not arrive in HelpScout.

Destination functions can be used as a workaround.
