@mickaelwong To be honest, yes, we disabled some raster optimizations not supported (skia4delphi/skia@4c14e4c), but I don't expect it to affect performance too much. Also, GPU rendering (common in FMX renders) is not affected.

In Vcl, the simplest way to use Skia GPU is to create a descendant control of Vcl.Skia.TSkCustomWinControl setting the BackendRender=HardwareAcceleration property and overriding the Draw method to draw using ISkCanvas.

It is not recommended to abuse the number of controls with GPU rendering because unlike FMX in which an entire form is rendered using a single context, in Vcl each control enabled to use GPU will create a different context.

I don't speak English very well, so I'll explain how I draw my component, which works very quickly in .DLL (300ms), but takes 2800ms with the static version:

It doesn't just affect rasterization, it also affects image decoding and color space conversion. That said, it depends a lot on the user's priority. What we can do is make static linking optional via setup.

it's the image filters ( shadows for me ) that slow down but very fast with DLL ( x8 faster ) :
