Become a sponsor to LLVM
The LLVM Foundation was created to support the LLVM Project. The LLVM Project is an open source collection of modular and reusable compiler and toolchain technologies. It consists of components such as Clang, libc++, lld, MLIR, and more.
The LLVM Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to support education and advancement of the field of compilers and tools through educational events, grants and scholarships, increasing diversity within the field of compilers, tools, and the LLVM project, and directly supporting the LLVM Project community and infrastructure.
The LLVM Foundation achieves its mission through 4 main programs:
- Educational Outreach: Educational materials and events like this Developer Meeting
- Community.o: Diversity & Inclusion Outreach, community growth
- Scholarship & Grants: Travel Grants
- Community health, project infrastructure, legal issues, other cross-cutting efforts
Your money will be directly applied to our four programs and to ensure the long term health of the LLVM Project. One example of this is the US LLVM Developers’ meeting, which is a critical yearly event for the LLVM community which has (fortunately) grown significantly in attendance and scope over the last few years. This growth continues to increase the costs of the event, yet we aim to allow everyone who can contribute to the event to be able to attend, even if they lack the backing of a major US company (e.g. most students).
Your sponsorship would help provide things such as the following:
- Travel grants for student speakers
- Reduced or free registration fees to students or developers in need
- Venue rental, catering, A/V and social events
Here are other ways your sponsorship money is used:
- Educational materials such as videos, documentation, and tutorials for LLVM and compilers & tools.
- Grants and scholarship programs for students attending and presenting LLVM related work at other conferences. This program may be expanded to cover grants and scholarships for other LLVM-related activities.
- Community.o speakers or workshops aimed at diversity and inclusion outreach
- LLVM web server and supporting infrastructure (mailing lists, blogs, etc)
- Project infrastructure such as testing, mailing lists, websites, and forums
- Future funding of other LLVM events
- LLVM Foundation administration (accounting, legal consulting, etc)
We hope that you will consider sponsoring the LLVM Foundation and the LLVM Project.
