The 950 color value, which is used in dark mode, looks good for neutral colors such as Zinc, Grey, or Neutral, but it's too dark for colors with more of a hue, such as Zinc.
I've dialed 950 down a touch for these colors with more of a hue so it blends in a bit more.

See the border surrounding the main section is very dark here; almost black—which is distracting.
After
The border here, which uses the 950 value, is a little lighter, which is less distracting.
