See symfony/symfony#21231

You can now do things like this:

app:
    resource: "../src/Controller/"
    type: annotation

I propose to not document this explicitly. Today we should say: "Symfony expects here a bundle notation, but you can also use normal paths". But very soon we'll stop mentioning or explaining bundles, so "normal paths" are not an exception or something to document but exactly what you expect this to be.

Reopen if you disagree with this. Thanks!
