Currently, the AI tab only supports direct API key authentication for Anthropic (and other providers). This means users need a separate paid API account with usage-based billing, even if they already have an active Claude Max or Pro subscription.

Many developer tools (Cursor, Windsurf, etc.) have started supporting the Claude Code SDK as an alternative authentication method. This allows users to authenticate via their existing Claude subscription through the claude CLI, avoiding duplicate costs.

It would be great if TablePlus could offer this as an additional authentication option alongside the existing API key approach, similar to how some tools offer both direct API and CLI-based auth.

This would make the AI feature significantly more accessible to users who already subscribe to Claude but don't want to maintain a separate API billing account for relatively light query assistance usage.
