Description

@stonebig

release date: 2019-03-05

Expected:

  • Pytorch-1.0.1
  • pandas-0.24.1,
  • PyQt5-5.12.1a
  • Tensorflow-1.13.1 , for Python-3.7 also

Focus of the release:

  • Pyside2-5.12 compatibility of most Qt packages (except Spyder),
  • a bayesian nice solution, (tensorflow-probability for now)
  • tweak infrastructure:
    • Nodejs on ./n hierarchy level instead of ./t/n,
    • uses a 32/64 in install path, for future 7zip installer-made releases,
    • ensure installer build can be INNO, NSIS, or 7-Zip (allowing up to .7z releases in future)
    • remove support of dead ".exe" Python packages
    • cleanup and expose run_complements.bat
  • relook at pep-0397

non-focus: (next)

  • Jupyterlab-1 / Tensorflow-2 look a Q2 2019 thing.
  • that asyncio trend : asyncpg, falcon / responder, ...

remark:

  • experimental python-3.7.2 is becoming available From Microsoft via the Microsoft Store of the Windows 10 1809 release (of this winter, pointing to january).
  • Windows 10 1809 update of 1901 was still a pain in the USB.
