Flatfile is rebranding to Obvious. Seven years ago, we set out to fix data migration. We've made a ton of progress—companies using Flatfile migrate customer data 70%+ faster. We've compressed months into weeks, sometimes days. And we're proud of that. But along the way we kept seeing the same thing: customers would finish a migration, celebrate for a minute, and then . . . back into the trenches of manual labor to actually complete the job. The migration wasn't the end. It was the beginning. So we asked ourselves: what if there was a tool that didn't stop there? What if it leaned forward into the next thing, and the thing after that? That lead to us building an additional product with an expanded mission. Obvious is an AI agent that helps you do your best work, every day. It can clean your data, sure—but it can also analyze it, build the report, draft the presentation, and help you figure out what to do next. It's not just for data migrators. It's for the ops lead buried in spreadsheets. The marketer trying to make sense of campaign data. The founder prepping for a board meeting. Anyone who needs to turn messy information, fuzzy ideas, or endless to dos into stellar finished work. Flatfile isn't changing. It's still the product you know and rely on for migrating data, and our commitments to you haven't changed. But the company is now Obvious, with a new product (also called Obvious!) to solve for the broader need. We're ready to do a lot more and we can't wait to show you what's next.
