Optional Drawer View for Item Details
Feature Request
\Directus - Option to Open Items in Drawer from a Layout - Watch Video\(https://www.loom.com/share/6cb9c62dbc954ed99b5449ffaf60fbb3))
When browsing items in different layouts (Map, Cards, Table, Kanban), clicking on an item takes you to the item detail page. This makes you lose your current context and position, so you have to navigate back and find where you were.
For example, if I'm browsing a map zoomed into Europe and click on Germany, I go to the item detail. When I go back, I've lost my zoom and position and have to scroll back to find the UK or other countries I want to check out.
Same thing happens in Kanban view - if I'm scrolled right and open an item, I have to scroll all the way back to find my spot.
Ideal Behavior
Add an option to open items in a drawer instead of navigating away, so users don't lose their current context.
Toggle in layout settings to "Open items in drawer"
Works across Map, Cards, Table, and Kanban views
Maintains current scroll position, zoom level, filters when drawer is closed
Drawer slides in from right side
Default to current behavior (off) so it doesn't break existing workflows
Should Have
"Open in full page" button at the top of the drawer
