Open Source Visual Basic Simulation Software

The vital sign simulator simulates a patient monitor and is intended for use in medical emergency training simulations. In combination with a (cheap) cpr-manikin, it offers a low-cost alternative to commercial high-tech patient simulation manikins. It is used with a dual monitor system, one monitor with controls for the operator and one providing the vital signs to the trainees. Heart rate, oxygen saturation, etCO2, respiratory rate, blood pressure and various moving ecg-samples can be set and changed at any time by the operator. The trainee-side interface allows automatic/manual defibrillation, cardioversion and pacing.

Online Version: An online version of this simulator is being developed at http://cloudcnc.in. The online version doesn't require any download - simply write/edit your code and simulate it side by side! CNC Simulator is a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathe machine simulator. It simulates the path that the tool of a CNC lathe would take for a given program. The simulation is two-dimensional. with provision for final view in 3D using OpenGL.

SimAssem is a tool for investigating the performances of species richness estimators across widely ranging assemblages and survey designs. Assemblages are simulated by specifying the: 1) number of species, 2) total abundance of individuals, 3) abundance distribution, 4) spatial configuration, 5) species detection probabilities, 6) survey design, and 7) number of grid cells to survey (out of a square grid comprised of 10,000 cells). SimAssem also processes existing encounter data and formats existing and simulated encounter data for other programs. SimAssem, along with the open source code, will hopefully give researchers and managers a tool for assessing the development of new estimators and evaluating potential decisions in a simulated environment. Boxcomp is compression estimation program for corrugated fiberboard packaging. It is principally aimed at Regularly slotted Case designs, but can be used to estimate other styles by amending the parameters.

Moon2.0 software is an open source toolkit to design low cost space missions. It is intended for educational or experimental use. This program covers all the phases of a typical space mission: spacecraft and propellant design, satellite and attitude control, trajectory simulation, ground station coverage, etc. The main window is an OpenGL 3D viewer that shows the progress of the spacecraft trajectory during the mission simulation. Additional panels are available to define the spacecraft and trajectory parameters. A set of predefined missions is provided including: sub-orbital flights, LEO and GEO orbits, Moon landing and deep space missions. Use the toolbar at the top of the main window to control the simulation, show or hide auxiliary panels, load predefined presets or configure the program.
