Double Commander is a cross platform open source file manager with two panels side by side. It is inspired by Total Commander and features some new ideas.

This small tool allows the user to graphically examine ddrescue's mapfiles in a user friendly GUI application. The Main window displays a block grid with each block's color representing the block types it contains. Many people know this type of view from defragmentation programs. The program is written in Object Pascal using the Lazarus IDE. It can be compiled to run on Windows, GNU/Linux and probably OS X, too. The downloads include binaries for the respective target platform and the project files (source code). Update 2022/02/25: ddrescueview version 0.4.5 has been released. This maintenance release restores compatibility with ddrescue 1.24 and later. Please consider testing this version. Abbrevia is a compression toolkit for Delphi, C++Builder, Kylix, and Free Pascal. It supports compressing and decompressing PKZIP, Microsoft CAB, tar, gzip, and bzip2 archives, and can create self-extracting executables. On Windows it also provides Delphi wrappers for the LZMA, Bzip2, and WavPack SDKs, and PPMd decompression. Abbrevia also has several visual controls that simplify displaying and manipulating archives, including treeview and listview components.

DiskImage is a tool to backup and restore partitions, entire harddisks, usb keys, floppy drives and (read-only) optical media on windows platforms. Built-in zip and libz compression, MD5 and SHA1 checksumming, a hex editor and more.

DarGUI is a front end to the Disk ARchive (Dar) program for Linux and Windows (64 bit). It provides a simple way to create and restore backup archives in Dar format. DarGUI is written in Pascal using FreePascal and the Lazarus IDE.

Forensic (but not only) graphical frontend to work with binary images (RAW) of media in GNU/Linux. These images are universal and can be installed using both standard operating systems and popular forensic software such as Encase, Sleuthkit/Autopsy, etc. in all operating systems). The idea of the project is to implement a fast, convenient and safe making of legal copies and manipulating with images, by means of GNU/Linux, without the need for expensive hardware write lock on the media, it is necessary in the existing solutions under Windows. Also the program can be used as a last chance to rescue data from a dying media by software.

Application for backups. Backups are created using the echo principle. New and updated files are copied from the original folder to the backup. Renaming, moving and deleting files occurs only in the backup. Silent Mode: EchoBackuper.exe -b "BackupPaths.ebp" -s "-b backup_ext_hdd.ebp" - load a different list of pair and exclude folders. The "ebp" files are created in the program itself. "-s" - silent mode with final notification. For notifications need to download the application "Notifications", unpack to "Program Files" and run 1 time.

Becape is a open source backup tool aimed to personal/desktop usage. It does incremental backups and stores the backup info in a sqlite database allowing to restore the exact state of the backed files at a chosen date.
