Taali Talk, eh? Tell me about it.
Hey, you.
This page could use some updating - if you know me you know that I’ve been on Substack every week since 2020 writing things as I tour around the world and almost die and stay alive and also bake cakes.
But today is not the day that I think I will fully update. So, for now, this “about” page will be a placeholder (since what was here is no longer accurate). I’ll keep the below and encourage you to subscribe - we go lots of places together.
Why should I subscribe?
Over the four years that we’ve built this community I’ve grown enormously from it, and every week that Taali Talk grows I know less and less how to describe it. That, perhaps, alone, is a reason to subscribe: I do not know how to explain it to you, and that’s the best part.
Beyond that it’s fun to get an email that’s not (1) a guilt trip from your family (2) a stressful work request (3) a coy millennial speak email from a shoe company about why you need their new flat, that’s why. I pledge solemnly to never write you anything click bait-y. Just straight from the hip, and always titled ___, ___, etc. Every Sunday. When you subscribe, that’ll pepper your inbox alongside the aforementioned unavoidable ones.
Taali Talk now has a paid option?
It does indeed, my love. I put this in by request, but kept it at my own ADHD limit - $5 a month is exactly the same as unpaid. For a while I was mailing postcards but ever since my rare kidney disease diagnosis $5 is simply a way to support me, and I appreciate it!
Either way though, paid or unpaid subscriptions help me equally and I adore you.
