AuthorityTopicalityCharacterthe three properties of a web page

Remember the little green bar? We rebuilt it, for character.

For fifteen years a small bar in your browser showed a page's standing. Ours shows something the web has never measured: how a page actually reads, across eight dimensions, scored on your own device.

Three signals, one bar

Authority & Topicality

The two signals the web has always had: how strong a page is, and what it is about. Both are the same for everyone.

DYNAMICS-WEB character

The new one: rigour, depth, originality, candour, warmth, commercial drive, stance, and register. Eight dimensions, different for the reader a page serves.

Computed on your device

The page is scored locally in your browser. Its content never leaves your machine. Privacy first, by construction.

Your own profile

The same instrument reads you, from the pages you choose. It builds your character profile, on your device, and you control what is shared.

See the problem, then fix it

Pick a reader and the toolbar tells you whether a page suits them and where it falls short. That is free. With Premium it rewrites the page in place for that reader, keeping every fact, or you move the eight sliders yourself and watch the writing shift to match.

People and pages

The page model, DYNAMICS-WEB, has a sibling that measures people, DYNAMICS-8. One reads a piece of content, the other reads a person. They are a family, not the same thing twice, joined by a single honest thread: candour reads the same in a person and in their writing.

The research behind it

This is not a hunch. Character was measured across the public web, agreed on by three independent models from three different companies, and tested in a pre registered experiment where matching a page's character to its reader raised conversion from nineteen per cent to thirty one. The full paper is open access and honest about where it is solid and where it is not.
