Administration The secretary of state has responsibilities over the following areas: elections, business services, occupational licensing, agency rules and regulations, records management, international relations and youth civics programs. The secretary of state serves on the following state boards: Real Estate Commission, chairman; State Records Board, chairman; Brand Committee, chairman; Collection Agency Licensing Board, chairman, Truth and Deception Examiners Advisory Board, chairman; Pardons Board, secretary; Board of State Canvassers, secretary; and Accountability and Disclosure Commission, member.
