5. We have various types of bearings with different sizes, which you can purchase according to your actual needs.

1. How to tell if the bearings need lubrication or not?

- Lubricating is based on working conditions.

- If the following conditions happened: the bearings have abnormal noise, the grease deteriorated, or the friction increased, it is recommended to replace the grease or lubricant.

- If the lubricant is performing that service well, there should be no need to change it or add more.

2. Typical Lubrication Amount

- Bearing lubrication plays a vital role. The most important role of lubricant is to reduce friction.

- The internal space in the bearing was completely filled with grease means 100% full, typically lubrication range from 20% to 40%. In small or miniature bearings grease fill amounts can be as little as 10%.

- Too much grease raises the temperature inside the bearing, excess heat could decrease the effectiveness of the lubricant.

3. Notice

- Adding too much, or not enough grease both lead to the bearing failing prematurely.

- Before operating at full speed, a running-in period is required to allow the grease time to settle into the housing.

- Keep the bearing and its working environment clean, even small dust that cannot be seen by the eyes will have a bad effect on the bearing.

- Avoid strong impact and extrusion.

Not all of this company’s bearing are as good as these ones. Their bigger bearings I have purchased from them are clunky and poorly sealed, but these little guys are fantastic. I bought them twice; the second time was just to have some available in the future. They fit sweetly into the end of .125” wall, 1” OD steel tubing. I used them on steering knuckles and the main steering assembly of a tiny scorpion-style go kart that runs on a 27cc weed whacker engine. Honestly, its turns a little too smooth! 😆. Im going to have to engineer a little bit of resistance into to steering or lengthen the frame to make it less scary. Buy them- they are good for tight spots and punch above their weight.

    These bearings are purfit Exactly as described. Awesome priced. The prodget I am doing takes takes 1280 bearing. That is a lot of bearing to keep in stock anywhere. So I keep ordering what they have in stock and as soon as they get more in stock I order them again. The most I can use in one day is 48. Amazon always replenish their stock very quickly. I am very happy with the results from Amazon.

    Pretty good. Withstood an axial load punching into place (with a piece of tubing, and a hammer) over a friction fit rod, and punching rod back out later when revising design.

    Not super smooth rolling -- feels a bit higher friction than normal beefier (e.g. 12 - 22 - 8 double-seal) bearings. But that's probably due to their small size.

    No visible or tactile differences that I could detect by examining each item.

    The ten bearings arrived in a re-closable plastic tube, which will help with keeping them sorted.

    My initial use requires only one bearing, but a few backups are not a bad idea as I'm using the one to take the downward load off a horizontal motor shaft bushing that's showing its age. A little tinkering and the old furnace draft inducer is running like new. Or so I hope. At least there is no plastic or rubber to melt in this rather warm environment.

    Proceeding with caution. I'll be doing a no-fire test run of at least 24 hours to be sure. If there's a bearing failure, I'll be back to amend my rating.

    I thought I was going to have to redo part of my project because reviewers are saying the inside diameter of these are too small and come in at 5.9mm. I was surprised because I've always had good luck with their bearings. I double checked and they are in fact 6mm give or take 0.01mm. If people would learn to use their digital calipers correctly maybe they wouldn't post bad reviews. It will measure 5.9mm on the inside if you cram the upper jaws of the caliper in for enough that the jaws interfere with your measurement.
