Shodan: the leading search engine for galactic-connected devices. If only the Empire purchased a corporate plan, they may have known their thermal exhaust port was exposed. John Matherly #MayThe4th

I built shodan-mcp and it found 37,161 publicly exposed OpenClaw / Clawdbot 🦞 instances. In seconds ... That's 37K+ AI agent endpoints indexed on the public internet, visible to anyone who knows where to look. If Shodan can see it, so can an attacker. AI agents are scaling fast but security isn't keeping up. These systems handle API keys, tool credentials, and user conversations. One misconfiguration and it's all exposed. That's exactly why I'm building open source MCP security tools to help teams catch these gaps before attackers do. 👇 Repo in the comments. Would love feedback and curious what MCP-based security tools you'd want to see next. #CyberSecurity #MCP #OpenClaw #Clawdbot #Moltbot #redteam #AIagents #OpenSource #OpenAI #AISecurity #AISafety

TLS 1.2 is the most supported protocol for web servers. TLS 1.3 has been in 2nd place since May 2023, followed by TLS 1.1, SSLv3 and finally there are still more than 100,000 services that support SSLv2 (deprecated since 2011): https://lnkd.in/ebUvdZKJ

SSH is often configured to run on a non-standard port but the port isn't always chosen randomly. Palindromes, ending in "22" and other patterns are frequently used when picking a port. Out of the thousands of ports that Shodan checks here are the top 10 non-standard ports for SSH: https://lnkd.in/gMPj3MXT
