Spelling Contract

Contracts will be given on a Monday and collected the following Monday unless otherwise told. An extra 15 points can be rewarded for extra activities completed. Attach all work to this contract. Activity
Put the words in alphabetic order. Write each word 4 times. Create rainbow words, using 1 color for consonants and another color for vowels. Create spelling pyramids. Create a word sort Scramble the words and have an adult or friend unscramble. Write all spelling words in a sentence. Use graph paper to create a word search. Create a picture hiding your spelling words within the picture. Write your words NEATLY 2 times in cursive. Write your words with the opposite hand. Type your words 5 times. Create a word collage. Use letters cut out of newspaper or other print to spell out your words. X-words: use to spelling words with a common letter to create an X Have an adult give you a practice spelling test, write the misspelled words 2 times each. Create a spelling story. Create a crossword puzzle, giving clues for each spelling word. Have an adult or friend solve. Write a dictionary definition of each word. Classify the words according to nouns, verbs, adjectives. Word wise- using half of your spelling words, create a sentence using each letter of the word. (i.e. cat = Cathy ate tots.)
